What is Ka-Pow?
Ka-Pow is a dressing room for comic book characters.
What is a dressing room?
Basically, it’s a big setting where everyone can gather together and interact. It’s a little less than a game and a little more than a meme.
Who can join?
Any Western comics and subsequent adaptations of their source material. Examples include:
-Marvel/DC comics (i.e. 616, Ultimate, The New 52, etc.)
-Movie adaptations (Man of Steel, Batman Begins, The Avengers, etc.)
-Cartoon adaptations (X-men Evolution, Batman: The Animated Series, Static Shock, etc.)
-Video game adaptations (Arkham Asylum, etc.)
At this time, no manga/anime characters will be allowed in, again with the exception of shows whose source material already had heroes in it, like the Wolverine, X-men, and Spider-Man animes.
No characters whose source material did not come from Western comics will be allowed. Examples include:
-Sarah from Return To The Labyrinth, whose source material was the movie Labyrinth.
-Buffy from Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 8, whose source material was the TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
How many characters can join?
As many as can fit in here. Doubles, triples, AUs, OCs, Rule 63s, all are accepted. If there’s twelve Tony Starks running around with half of them being Skrulls and cyborgs, that just makes it all the more fun.
The setting changes?
Yes. The setting changes every so often to keep things interesting. Why have your characters sitting around talking in a big, white room when they can be getting attacked by velociraptors or exploring Asgard?
How often does the setting change?
Once a month.
What is the current setting?
A big jungle-like terrain that is filled with dinosaurs.
Do I have to play in the setting?
No. If Clark Kent wants Peter Parker to come hang out with him at the Daily Planet, go for it!
